One important event every year drive the whole design department to work intensively for 3 weeks straight and that event is Upfront. It's a yearly showcase where we invite advertisers to present all our new acquisitions and shows to prove the power of our brands and why it is worth to invest with us. Saying that this event is paramount for Corus earnings is an understatement. So we create curated graphics for our leadership team with well crafted reel edited by our producers and custom graphics by us. It consist of motion designs and graphic design prints.

CORUS

I work at Corus Entertainment since December 2016, just two months after I moved to Canada. It's been a journey filled with promos and Rebrands of TV Channels.

An important pillar of my time at Corus was working on Hallmark Canada, I'm the lead designer for each new packages that comes in and each important pomos features on W Network which is an important audiences for our company. That's experience offered me opportunity to work as an Art Director at times on Hallmark to make sure guidelines of Styleguides were respected and communicate between departement with my project manager and automation team.
In the end what I learned the most at Corus is attention to details and deadline management.

Working at Corus Entertainment consist of creating pomos and managing new and existing graphic live packages. We adapt and manage US brand content that goes live through Corus but we also have our own in housse TV channels like YTV, Global TV, Showcase, Slice and W Network for example. Those identities specifically are the ones we can design everything from top to bottom. Across the years I've been working at Corus, I was able to help rebrand & setup channel like HGTV, W Network, Food Network, Showcase, Slice. Before I moved to the Lifestyle and Drama motion team I was working more on Kids channels as well as helping on others channels. In the kids channel team I worked as digital and motion designer for YTV, Teletoon and all Disney various channels.

On the Hallmark side, it's been since 2019 we are in a partnership with them. The scale of Hallmark every year is consequent in the amount of seasonal package we have to deal with. For example within a year we have roughly a new look every 1 to 2 months, here is the  names of each "stunt" seasonal packages: New Years New Movies, Loveuary, Spring into Love, June Weddings, Christmas in July, Summer Nights, Fall into Love, and the massive Countdown to Christmas.

W Network and in 2024 for Showcase:

The most important rebrand of Corus Entertainment recent histoyr were done last year in 2024. Between June to September specifically our team of 3 designers + 1 Art director and 1 Creative director design all those identities.

Flavour Network and Home Network were born out of the ashes of Food network and HGTV Canada as they left Corus portfolio. 

We had to create two new brand identity for Canadian and for the maintain the future of Corus. This was certainly a very packed year as we tackled those 2 paramount rebrands at the same time.
